ARCHITECTURE + HERITAGE

​The site of a former pub, this patch of vacant land overlooks Lower Gorton reservoir. Atelier MB have designed a 50 unit new-build residential scheme, positioning housing to optimise views over the water and providing a mixture of apartments and town houses, generous garden provision and a green amenity space. 

Using a palette of materials chosen to reflect the surrounding buildings, the design mixes housing typologies and takes inspiration from the solid industrial forms and sleek lines of the site’s past. Photovoltaic panels, high envelope insulation and air source heat pumps will reduce carbon emissions for residents.  

This project offers a modern housing solution on a brownfield site, combining high-quality design and open green space with sustainable energy measures.
