SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY MUSEUM
A Manchester landmark of recognised international historical importance, Atelier MB was selected to work on wide-spread upgrading of internal details at the Science and Industry Museum. The Liverpool Road site contains some of the finest and most unique buildings in the region, including the 1830 warehouse and the oldest remaining railway passenger terminus in the world.
This extensive series of detailed fire protection works forms part of a wider multi-million-pound re-development programme for the site. Using our eye for detail, a respect for historic fabric and closley working alongside the museum, this project will ensure the highly significant slice of history can be protected well into the future.
Listed building consent has been granted for Phase I and works are due to start on site in 2024.
