Manchester House, Manchester
Manchester House is a Grade II listed commercial office building in the City Centre of Manchester. Designed and by Birkett, as a speculative office and warehouse building for the Refuge Assurance Company, the building was one of a group of two which includes neighbouring Asia House.
In common with other listed buildings, Atelier MB have gained a unique insight into the history of the building through extensive in-house research. This enables us to justify works to the building in a meaningful historic context.
The drivers for our works are the need to improve tired office accommodation and facilities to attract tenants, and to ensure that this iconic listed building is restored and remains a viable commercial offering, in an evolving city centre.
The building is 6 stories high with a basement and subbasement there is around 5,000m2 of usable office space.
