Landmark and much-loved home of the city’s coolest independents, shopping at Afflecks has been a rite of passage for Manc teens since the 80s. Atelier MB was proud to work on this landmark building, which forms a five-storey block in the centre of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Research identified a previous brick finish and informed the bold colour palette of ‘Manchester red’ and buff. New street level facias unified changes to the ground floor and bespoke mosaic and metalwork completed the facades, reflecting the eclectic and artistic nature of Afflecks’ tenants.
